Position summary

The Accountant will perform variety of accounting responsibilities to support the financial functions of the company. They will also ensure accurate, timely and valuable financial information is available to operate the business.

Essential Job Functions                                                                

  • A/R functions; invoicing, collections and assisting in cash receipts
  • Company metrics reporting, trend analysis, and improvement support
  • Assist with month end closing procedures including: journal entry preparation and review, balance sheet analysis and reconciliation, and monthly management reports preparation.
  • Supporting administration of inventory cycle counting
  • Complete necessary documentation and depreciation expense reporting for property, plant, and equipment items in order to provide accurate accounting for company assets.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports as outlined for financial review, weekly and monthly meetings and visual management boards.
  • Partner with the other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
  • Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
  • Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
  • Participate in required company meetings
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S)
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Support and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications)

  • Ability to consistently achieve short and long term business results
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks when needed
  • Ability to follow through on commitments and holds team members accountable
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and ERP and other business related systems

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Accounting
  • Two years in a manufacturing setting
