We are looking for a Laser Marker for 2nd shift (4:15pm - 2:45am Monday through Thursday, with overtime as needed). 

Position summary                                                              

The Laser Marker is responsible for ensuring that the laser marking process is producing quality parts to the specifications listed on the work order. This position will perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations and setups on laser marking equipment.

Essential Job Functions                                                                

  • Operate and program laser marking equipment
  • Program laser marking equipment
  • Read and comprehend blueprints to manufacture and measure parts
  • Use basic measuring equipment such as a micrometer, caliper, Micro Vu, optical comparator to inspect parts produced
  • Read and follow work order traveler
  • Perform complete first piece inspection
  • Maintain average machine set-ups with minimal supervision
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure consistent machine performance
  • Demonstrate a concern for company equipment by using it properly
  • Package parts to customer requirements
  • Perform light assembly work
  • Perform buffing and blasting processes
  • Move parts to the next operation
  • Meet the internal delivery schedule to ensure the product is delivered to the customer in a timely manner
  • Read and comply with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists
  • Enter production information into the ERP system on a timely basis
  • Accurately record and report hours worked
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Understand and comply with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies, and employee manual
  • Adhere to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned

 Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications)

  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Medical manufacturing experience
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry (FDA, ISO)

Physical & Environmental Demands  

  • Ability to occasionally: lift 10-50lbs, carry 10-50lbs and to stand, bend and stoop
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
